Stethoscope is disappointing. Incompatible with current iPhone 6. Poor quality. Will be seeking refund and sending product back.

I was looking for recording of stethoscope sounds to use in training, and this is an easy to use app with a nice little library of sounds. Didnt use it as a stethoscope, though. Thanks!
App promises ability to record heart sounds but only records ambient room noise "unless" you buy the US$24.00 stethoscope mic from them. Also does not allow you to save sounds to iPhone, only email them. Deleted.
I cant hear my heartbeat, lung sounds, or bowel sounds. When I put the iPad on my heart area it makes annoying sounds. And it wasnt firm. And when I put it in my lung area or bowel area the same sound is there. Please fix that!
I love this app!! I use it a lot not only to listen to heart sounds but it also picks up low noises such as if the tv is low, but you need your headphones on to hear anything. Plus it allows you to hear a sample of abnormal heart sounds and bowel sounds. Overall I highly recommend!
Could not get the Stethoscope feature to work. Even purchased the Stethoscope and it looks like it was made by an amateur in someones basement. The stethoscope attachment does not work for us. Very disappointing. Would give zero stars if we could.
I bought their stethoscope and neither my iPad or iPod recognizes the external microphone. If the recordings that came with the app are accurate, its still a good learning tool.
As far as I can tell, this app doesnt do anything at all. Even when I tap my finger directly on the mic, nothing happens even though the mic works with other apps. Maybe Im missing something.
Very thorough very well put together and organized. I needed help with heart, lung and bowel sounds and I need to know what the abnormal sounds sound like so I can have an idea of what the possible problem/diagnosis is. This app gives a multitude of sounds. I do wish there was a quiz mode so we could test ourselves to gauge progress in identifying what the sounds are. Overall great app!
I like it.. As a medical student it gives you a since of what you should be listening to.. Whether auscultating the heart, lungs or abdomen..
The instructions are to remove headphones if the jack is in the way of the mic, but the app wont record without headphones plugged in. Not sure why thats needed but it makes the app unusable.
If you have the iPhone 5 this app is designed for that, yet you have to have to headphones in to record anything and the headphone jack is directly next to the microphone, therefore youre unable to put the microphone against anything !! Makes no sense! Unless you jab the cord into your skin and even then I couldnt hear anything!!! Not a good app at all!
Once you take the headphones out to be able to record, it wont record. I dont understand.
Complete waste of an app for iPhone 5. Do not install this.
Picks up all the sounds around me in the room but I had trouble finding my own heartbeat. I have an iPhone 5 and the headphone jack is right next the microphone, the directions say to remove the headphones if in the way and record, then listen to the recording. However when I remove the headphones it takes away the record option so you cannot use the stethoscope portion without having the headphones plugged in
I was so looking forward to using this app, but you cannot have headphones plugged in and have the mic on your skin. They advise you to record without the headphones, then listen after. However, the app WILL NOT let you record without the headphones plugged in! Major design flaw! Im glad I didnt pay for it. Already deleted it from my phone.
I have an iPhone 5 and I couldnt even hear my own heart beat.
Love this app!!! Awsome! My kids also love to record all there body sounds!
Make sure your actual headphones have the mic feature on them, if not the app is unusable.
I initially tried using this on the iPhone5, and, like others have said, it didnt work because of the headphones jack being on the bottom of the phone near the mic. Luckily, I have my old iPhone 4, so I downloaded it on there. My purpose for using it was to hear my babys heartbeat. Im 28 weeks pregnant, so I knew it couldnt be too difficult to find. Not that this has anything to do with the app itself, but in case an expecting mother happens to come across this, Ill add that I wasnt able to get a read on babys heartbeat while sitting up in a chair, so I laid on my back and was able to detect it in less than five minutes. I was also able to record it which was a HUGE bonus! Im only giving this app four stars because the look of it is dated and it should warn people with iPhone 5s and up that it may not work for them due to technicalities, but otherwise its great :)
